Quote from Annapolis seed “A de-hybridized, open pollinated version of Gypsy Pepper. Steph Warr of Twisted Brook has been working on this strain for almost a decade. Gypsy has long been a popular hybrid among organic market farmers, but when Monsanto acquired Seminis Seeds in 2005 it also acquired the rights to Gypsy. Wanting continued access to a pepper that did well on her farm, Steph began the process of selecting and stabilizing, and released Nomad in 2018. Sweet, crispy and well adapted for our region. These plants bear an abundance of large top shaped fruit, which start yellow and ripen to red.”

Far from: Beans, Brassicas, Fennel.
Planting tip: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before planting date. For best results harden off at 18-19°C
Harvesting tip: Harvest first fruit promptly to stimulate production.
Storage tip: Store at 10-12°C w/ relative humidity of 95%

Citation de la semence Annapolis “Une version déshybridée, à pollinisation ouverte du Gypsy Pepper. Steph Warr de Twisted Brook a travaillé sur cette souche pendant près d’une décennie. Gypsy a longtemps été un hybride populaire parmi les agriculteurs du marché biologique, mais lorsque Monsanto a acquis Seminis Seeds en 2005, il a également acquis les droits sur Gypsy. Voulant un accès continu à un poivron qui a bien fonctionné dans sa ferme, Steph a commencé le processus de sélection et de stabilisation, et a sorti Nomad en 2018. Doux, croustillant et bien adapté à notre région. Ces plantes portent une abondance de gros fruits en forme de sommet, qui commencent jaune et mûrissent vers le rouge.
Plantes compagnes: Alliums, Basilic, Tomate, Épinard, Origan, Marjolaine, capucine, tagète.
Loin de: Fèves, Brassicassés, Fenouil.
Ensemencement: Semer à l’intérieur 6 à 8 sem. avant la date de plantation. Pour un meilleur résultat, faites-les endurcir à 18-19°C
Récolte: Récolter les premiers fruit rapidement afin de stimuler davantage la production.
Entreposage: Stocker à 10-12 ° C avec humidité relative de 95%.
