Developed by Glenn Thompson of VT, who grew and distributed this popcorn in New England from the 1930s until the mid-1960s. Served in movie theaters and featured at the World’s Fair. Plants 4-5′ tall. Pearly off-white kernels. The 4-5″ ears are often flattened and split at the silk end, giving them the appearance of a bear’s paw.
Companion plants: Beans, Cucumber, Melon, Parsley, Potato, Pumpkin, Squash. 
Far from: Tomato.
Planting tip: Direct sow as soon as the soil has warmed up to 19°C.
Harvesting tip: Harvest when ear silks have dried out and kernels are full and filled up and appropriate colour has appeared.
Storage tip: After harvesting, pull all the husks back at one end of the ear. Bundle a few corns in this manner, tie the husks together w/ a string, and hang them in a dry, well-ventilated location for a few weeks.

Cultivé par Glenn Thompson du VT, qui a cultivé et distribué ce popMaïs en Nouvelle-Angleterre des années 1930 jusqu’au milieu des années 1960. Servi dans les cinémas et présenté à l’Exposition Universelle. Plants de 4-5′ de haut. Grains nacrés d’un blanc cassé. Les épis de 4-5″ sont souvent aplatis et fendus à l’extrémité là où il y a la soie, ce qui leur donne l’apparence d’une patte d’ours.
Plantes compagnes: Haricot, Concombre, Melon, Persil, Patate, Citrouille, Courge.
Loin de: Tomate.
Ensemencement: Semer directement dès que le sol s’est réchauffé à 19°C.
Récolte: Récolter lorsque les soies des épis ont séché et que les grains sont pleins et remplis et que la couleur appropriée est apparue.
Entreposage: Après la récolte, ramenez toutes les enveloppes à une extrémité de l’épi. Regroupez quelques épis de cette manière, attachez les enveloppes ensemble avec une ficelle et suspendez-les dans un endroit sec et bien ventilé pendant quelques semaines.
